Stop Chasing "Get Rich Quick" Schemes. It's Time for Financial WELL-BEING.
Yo, what's up, entrepreneurs and hustlers! Xavier DeArco here, and let's talk about something real, something foundational - Financial Well-being.
Forget the BS about "making money fast" or chasing quick wins. That's a recipe for disaster. Financial well-being is about building a solid, sustainable system that serves you, not the other way around.
Here's the truth: You can be making millions, but if your finances are a mess, you're stressed, and you're living paycheck to paycheck, you're NOT truly thriving.
Financial well-being is about:
Taking control: You're the CEO of your finances. Understand your income, expenses, and where your money is going. Use the 50/30/20 rule. Living Expenses, fun money, and investing and or saving.
Building a solid foundation: Develop healthy financial habits. Budget, save, invest, and plan for the future. It’ll be here before you know it have a conscious plan and work toward it every day.
Making smart choices: Don't let fear or impulse control your decisions. Educate yourself about investing, debt, and long-term financial goals. You can only be so risk-adversed.
Creating financial freedom: The goal isn't just making money; it's about having the freedom to do what you want, when you want, without money being a constant worry. And helping others along the way, God will take care of the rest.
Here's how to level up your financial game:
Get Real: Stop burying your head in the sand. Track your income and expenses like a pro. Use budgeting apps, spreadsheets, or whatever works for you. I like the Everydollar app, it tracks everydollar, simple right?
Automate: Set up automatic savings, investments, and bill payments. Make it a no-brainer to stay on track. This makes everything way easier and track it monthly so you know where everything is going. Just like if you want to lose weight, you’ll step on the scale every morning to track your efficiency.
Educate Yourself: Don't be afraid to learn about finance. There are tons of resources available, including books, podcasts, and courses. I try and listen to some form of content while I walk, drive, work, and Always Be Learning.
Think Long-Term: Don't just focus on short-term gains. Plan for retirement, emergencies, and your future goals. Every dollar you spend early on is like $30 in 25 to 30 years. Live a rich life now, and an even richer life in the future. Be wary of lifestyle creep as your income increases.
Seek Professional Help: If you need guidance, don't hesitate to consult with a financial advisor. I also offer financial planning tailored to you if you need help and accountability. I have increased my net worth to $256,400 in 5 years starting from 0 you can too.
